About Our Client

Job Description

*Demonstrates leadership and influence skills

*Ability to rapidly and clearly communicate issues, options, benefits, and recommendations to technical and business team members.

*Possesses strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills and is capable of thinking through problems in a systematic and logical manner

*Ability to communicate project status, issues and requirements.

*Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills; excellent computer skills including MS

*Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Development Phases

*Review overall system specifications and ensure requirements are met at system level during the initial concept phase

*Work with architecture team to translate architectural block concepts into key modules and components based on product family/range requirement to reduce diversity within the same product family

*Work with OS, S/W, EE and ME teams to ensure all modules and interfaces amongst them are agreed, well defined and documented

*Help team to escalate technical risks, bottleneck to management when necessary

*Coordinate and facilitate technical discussions between sites and disciplines, include overall system testing, QA plan, DFA/DFM review with NPI and MPE teams

Sustaining Phase

*Support field return/product failure analysis by identifying possible cause of failure based on knowledge and overview of system operations,

*Provide firmware support when needed to help to isolate functional block during failure analysis

*Ensure hardware design changes and implementation at CMs (through ECO process) is well managed and communicated among MPE, SQE, Suppliers and CMs for seamless transition into production and shipment.

The Successful Applicant

*BS or MS degree in ME or EE with at least 10 years (15 years preferred) of engineering design experience particularly with cross engineering discipline experiences.

*Possess a good understanding of the key building blocks/modules of embedded system and how they work together as a system (ME, EE and S./W)

*Good understanding of general phases of product development life cycle, from product conceptualization to mass production

*Experience working in a distributed engineering group, working with in-house and external staff and outsource model.
